Host, Team Sokoto continued their winning run on day 2 of the National Under 12/15 Handball Championship 2022 ongoing in the caliphate city of Sokoto.
In the Boys Under 12 category, Sokoto Rima saw off a derby challenge from city rival Caliphate Academy of Sokoto to earn a 16-10 victory.
Caliphate Academy of Sokoto suffered another defeat in the same category as C&SFPS Academy put them to sword with a 31-8 victory.
FCT annihilated C&SFPS Academy with a 12-3 victory in the only match of the Girls Under 12 category while Sokoto Rima proved to strong as they defeated C&SFPS with an empathic 21-7 victory in that Girls Under 15 category.
Two matches in the under Boys Category (Kebbi vs Katsina and Sokoto Rima vs Suleja) were unable to be played because of heavy downpour. They will be played first thing on Tuesday morning.
