English Premiership side Southampton and Team Nigeria UK International are set to visit Nigeria in furtherance of the partnership programme.
Towards that, Executive Director of Team Nigeria UK, David Doherty, led his management, alongside Southampton FC Director of Business and Community Development, Mark Abrahams, earlier today to pay a courtesy visit on Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the UK, His Excellency Ambassador Sarafa Isola.
After the briefing on the partnership programme between the Premier League club and Team Nigeria UK International (TNUKI), Ambassador Sarafa Isola assured TNUKI and SFC, of his support, adding that such programme falls within the mission’s current programme which is premised on skills acquisition for young Nigerians through sports in the United Kingdom.
In the recent past, Team Nigeria UK International, have helped in the discovery and exposure of several Nigerian footballers and athletes in the diaspora that has gone ahead to represent Nigeria.
