Ebenezer Nwankwo, Iganmu Tigers FC head coach has taken his team sluggish start to the TCC League 24 campaign upon himself as he vows to get the team in full gear after loosing thier first two games of the season.
Iganmu Tigers were walloped by Imperial FC 1-3 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium this afternoon to condemn them to thier second consecutive loss of the season.
“We aren’t scared of this slow start because we have a lot of improvement to do and it’s my responsibility to analyze the game, think about the solutions and work on the training pitch to try and rescue the season”, he stated in his post match interview with Sports247.ng.
“We are disappointed to lose the first two games but we have to pick ourselves up, it’s a longer season than the last one and there are still a lot of points to fight for, what we have to do now is to dig in and continue to work and maybe try a different approach”, Ebenezer allayed.
“This performance is definitely better than last week but not to the level that we expected because I think we work harder than this in training and also, we need to adhere to our principles in how we play”.
“When you don’t win, the performance will be criticized and personally, I think we can be better, the focus is now on me to get the team play better than this and that’s what we will try and do in the next game”, Ebenezer assured.
