While one of his teammates in the CCL 2024 winning squad, Valentine Chinonso Nweke said his next target is to train harder and help the club get a fifth title in the exciting youth football competition, Adejumi is looking further ahead.
The hugely excited youngster admitted amidst bursts of laughter that he was very happy with his side’s 2-0 victory over Broad City FC and dedicated it to one of his former teammates, Shola Oye.
Adejumi declared gleefully: “I am very happy that I played my first match for the team. I never thought I would play this match, but I even started.
“My first start, and we won the cup. I thank God. I thank my former teammate, Oye. My dream is to play one day for Manchester United.”
Conversely, it was a subdued reaction from Nweke, who disclosed that he has been part of only three of the four conquests that Beyond Limit have now achieved in the competition.
Nweke disclosed, “This is the third time that I am winning the cup with Beyond Limit. They have now won it four times, but this is my third time with them.
“I am happy that we won against a side that are compact in the middle. We found it difficult to play them through the middle, so we had to operate from the wings.
“Our coach told us during half time that we needed to break the line from the side and avoid the middle. We followed our coach’s instructions, and that’s how we were able to win.”
Nweke then spoke about his next line of focus and declared, “I will keep training well and work harder so that I can help my team win the next one as well.”
