Owolabi Mustapha, the coach of Valiant FC, shared his thoughts after their match against Real Sapphire FC, which ended in a draw following a missed penalty.

He expressed the importance of learning from such games, especially since it was their opening match in the ongoing TCCLeague24.
“In a game like this, those are games that we need to learn from,” Mustapha commented. “We learned a lot from this game, being our opening game. There are so many things we are still trying to perfect. Unfortunately, we lost a penalty that would have given us the lead. It really shows that before the final blast of the whistle, we just need to continue to score more so that we’ll edge the opponent by far.”

When asked about the impact of new players on the team’s balance, he explained, “We recruited some boys, but recruiting players does not play a significant factor. We have been teaching them the same way we have been teaching others. So, recruiting into the team, we just want to play the same way we know how to play.”
