After losing 3-1 to Broad City FC in the opening game of the 2023/2024 TCC League season, coach of defending champions, Beyond Limits FA, Olumide Ajibolade, has praised the performance of the opponents in the game.
“Kudos to the opponents for taking their chances as we were not able to have enough control in the offensive part like we wanted,” Olumide told Sports247.
The defeat was the first that Beyond Limits will suffer in the hands of Broad City in five meetings and the three times champions looked like they suffered a disaster in the game.
“It’s not a disaster but a reflection of our performance. Sloppy in set pieces, loss of concentration, struggled with the heat and intense schedule that we’ve had in the last weeks but It’s a marathon and not a cup game, twenty-one matches to go,” Olumide added.
Beyond Limits FA will look to bounce back when they welcome Valiant FC in Matchday two of the TCC League on Saturday, 14th October by 4:00pm.
