Immediately quizzed on his team’s chances of winning the league and being a force to reckon with this season, Real Sapphire coach Abolaji Bidemi indicated it’s still early stages but himself and the lads will put in maximum effort.
“I know we’re not perfect but it’s early stages and I won’t really want to make comments on winning the league. One thing is however certain, I will put in my best effort and the team will do as well”, Abolaji told Sports247.
Despite only playing their first TCC game, the club has however faced majority of these sides in the Nationwide League One Division One (NLO1) on multiple occasions but the coach believes the teams are a little different now.
“It’s not a bad start being the first game but I believe our next game would be better. We’ve played majority of these teams before in the league. However, some of our players have gone abroad and this requires us and even other coaches to go to the drawing board but I believe we will do our best in the league”, the coach concluded.
