Broad City joined Gbagada FC as the only two sides in The Creative Championship League history to win their opening three games after a 2-0 matchweek three victory over Iganmu FC.
Speaking to Sports247, Broad City coach Ogunmoyero Oluwaseun said he’s not focused on that but taking it as it comes, a game after the other.
“It’s a privilege to have the record of winning the opening three games in the league but I wasn’t focused on that really, just taking each game as it comes and so is the mentality of the boys,” Oluwaseun said.
After making such record, the thoughts of winning the league pops is for sure and the coach spoke about the presence of any pressure accompanying the feat his side just achieved.
“I feel no pressure, we will take it one game at a time. We prepare solely on each game without thinking about the one after it until it’s time and with this mentality, it helps the mentality of the boys to perform at the highest level,” he stated.
With the team suffering a few injuries, Oluwaseun was forced to make a few changes which he claims have the same mentality as the other lads, hence why the performance remains top.
“We introduced new players due to the injuries in the team and the replacements have been up to par with their performance because the mentality is the same and it’s all about development,” he finished.
