Newcomers Escola United defeated old boys Iganmu FC in their opening game of the TCC League 3-1 to the excitement of the whole team and was capped by a debut man of the match (MOTM) award to the newcomers player, Moyosore Onikoyi.

Moyosore told Sports247 that the level of competitiveness from the other teams in their opening game was what drove Escola into their performance against Iganmu FC.
“Debut TCC appearance, first win for us, and a first man of the match for me, what a way to start the league,” Moyosore Onikoyi said.
“We saw how competitive other teams were in their first game and that made us come into this with huge determination,” he continued.

The lad added that the fear of defeat is a strong driving force in the minds of the players and it also fuels them into action.
“We’re not prepared to lose, we’re scared of it and we’re happy we got the desired result,” he concluded.
The next challenge for Escola United will be a trip to Atlantic Business as they look to settle their nerves in the league.
