The third season of The Creative Championship League saw wins in various venues and defeat for Dannaz FC who faced Gbagada FC on a wet surface.
Technical Director of the Dannaz side, Fatai Smith, said his team will pick the positives from the game as they look to develop and gain experience as that is the target.
“We’ll take the positives. They had one chance and one goal while we wasted so many in the first half,” Fatai told Sports247.
“That’s what the league is about, they learn from the mistakes and the boys will keep developing because we have to bring in some of the new ones,” he added.
Dannaz FC were without some notable names from last season and the technical director stated that even more players were set to leave as it’s part of goal of the club.
“It’s all about progression. These players have gone to the higher leagues and even more are going to move. We must focus on developing them as it’s not only about winning even though we love to win, but the most important thing is their development,” Fatai said
“The minimum target for us this season, we want to improve on our 5th place finish of last season and get into the top two or three,” he concluded.
