Matchday two of The Creative Championship League 2023 season saw a first defeat of the season to defending champions, Beyond Limits FA and a first win ever over them for Atlantic Business Sports247 reports.
The Ikenne based side, Beyond Limits are the only team to have won the league since it’s inception (twice) and finished 25 points ahead of Atlantic Business in the previous season but the defeat saw Atlantic seal the top spot on the league standings for the next week running.
“It’s very good for us. I think this gives us the room to be calm and more flexible as we know our objectives for this season,” Head Coach Olayinka Adiro told Sports247.ng on being top of the table.
The manager signed four young talents scouted from the Leks School League last season and settling into life very quickly they are as one of them, Moyosore Onikoyi picked up the MOTM award in the 2-1 win over Beyond Limits.
“We want our players to be very expressive on the ball, make mistakes and learn. We’ve showed we can win games, we also want to give a lot of the talents freedom learn and develop,” Yinka said.
“So top of the league is a good place given what we are trying to achieve with our group this season,” he concluded.
