Atlantic Business FC picked up a very late winner over Sporting Lagos to record a 3-2 opening day victory over their counterparts and technical director of the side, Fesanjaiye Tajudeen, has praised his team for their performance stating it’s virtually a new team of young boys.
“The boys are just coming up, the team is made up of young boys just coming together. We are not expecting much, but the boys could understand what we asked them to do, not to press high because the opponents have good physique and that is what they did,” Tajudeen told Sports247.
“It’s a step ahead, putting a new team together and being able to play like this is good. We look forward to having them better than this so they will be stable before the second half of the league,” he added.
He further went on to express the clubs’ interest to win the league title and praised the organizers for making it look so good that some players see it bigger than the Nigeria Professional Football League.
“We want to win the league, and the league has been enterprising, the organization has been inspiring and very encouraging and many players here even see it as a bigger league than the NPFL,” Tajudeen said.
