Adedeji Ayeoba, Imperial Football Club coach has lamented the loss of concentration after the team went two goals up in the first half and ended up conceding two goals to draw level at the end of the first half he also commended his players for a good and positive reaction to turn the game around in the second half.
They ran out eventual winners with a 4-2 scoreline against Broad City to record their first win of the season in the third edition of the Creative Championship, Sports247.ng writes.
Reacting after the hard-fought victory, Ayeoba explained that it was an incredible game and a fantastic performance from his boys who came into the game and scored two goals within 26 minutes.
“We ended up conceding two goals first half, this shows that we lost a lot of concentration and our speed of play wasn’t objective enough,” he lamented.
“Going into the second half, we tried to settle into possession but we were able to control the moment of the game most especially dead ball situations and we were very clinical on that.”
“And most importantly, our transition from defense to attack, we were able to score two goals even though it was raining, we still kept on with the momentum, a good win for us,” he concluded.
