Valiant FC’s striker Lookman Ibrahim has been a recipient of many man-of-the-match awards and also one of two-player of the month awards at the ongoing TCC League and the striker has not given up the target he set for himself.
Early on in the competition, the striker told Sports247 that he set a target of twenty goals in the TCC League for himself and with his four goals against Emmydinho FC, his tally goes to 17 goals with two games left to play.
“It has always been on my mind to be the highest goal scorer of this tournament. Even before the start, I already set a target of twenty goals for myself and I’m not giving up, I’m pursuing that aim,” Lookman said.
After a tough battle in the Nationwide League One where the team failed to pick a promotion ticket to the NNL but put up an impressive display, the striker scored six goals in total and has continued to show that he can’t stop scoring.
“That’s what I want (to score goals), it’s my job and I’ll continue scoring goals,” he said. “I still have a plan to surpass the twenty goals but I can’t do it without the help of my teammates. With their help I know I’ll either get to twenty goals or surpass it,” the striker said.
He further told fans of the club and his personal fans to watch out for more goals from him while he hopes to get good deals and better clubs in the future.
