The opening game of the Creative Championship League 2022 saw a fresh opening light as the one-time FA champion Gbagada FC stroke Atlantic Business 1-0 in the second minute of the kickoff time at the Legacy Pitch National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
The single goal that came from Adiele Marvellous may not have been so pleasing to the Gbagada Head Coach, Akinyelu Olajide of the team but at least the three-point was the most important thing.
“Well, three-point is the most important thing but am not too happy with the performance of our standard. I am to rate this over ten I will give it a four because this has shown to me that we still have a lot to do, although two players were absent so maybe that was what affected the game played. But three-point is what matters most”, Gbagada Head coach Akinyelu Olajide told sport247.
” There is still positivity looking out for our next game because at least we finished with a clean sheet from this one, the backline did well but going forward we couldn’t finish it all with a goal. We traded a couple of chances in the second half but the final decision from our players were not accurate so I think that’s the area we need to focus more on. Akinyelu concluded.
