“I’ve always been trusting God in anything I do as a good Christian, however, I’ve been working very hard in training and off training to ensure I’m in good shape to be ready for when I’m allowed to play.
There’s a striker in the team who’s currently ahead of me so I just have to keep working hard to be able to give more than he’s giving when the chance arises,” were the words of Gbagada FC new striker Tomisin Alasiri to Sports247 after his match-winner in a game of huge consequences in terms of movement on and off the league table as Gbagada FC picked up all three points at home against Valiant FC.
Tomisin came on in the 70th minute for striker Peter Edema who got the first goal via the penalty spot and after missing his first chance in the game, he went on to score the winner late into added time in the 92nd minute to give his side the win. He joined the Blue Eagles during the last transfer window for free after being there on trial and has since only featured in a few games all from the bench as the striker went in search of his first goal for the club.
Tomisin explained that the atmosphere in the club hasn’t been bad although he is trying to break into the long circle that already existed for a long time and he feels that the more he gets the job done, the easier it will be for him to fit in even as he happened to know a couple of the players already before joining the team and he’s making friends.
On his target for this season in the TCC League Tomisin said “I won’t say I set a personal target but I intend to score in every game I’m Introduced in.”
