The three-time match day winner of The Creative Championship (TCC League), Gbagada FC has not only won another clean sheet but are currently on top of the league table.
It was a sunny Matchday afternoon at the Legacy Pitch Surulere Stadium where the Valiant FC take on fellow creative championship league team Gbagada FC on matchday 8 of the creative championship league.
Gbagada who has been on a clean sheet since the beginning of the league in their three consecutive matches broke their record recently scoring three goals against Emmydinho FC.
The match kick-off in outstanding jubilation as the fans of the away side were spotted cheering their team for yet another victory to come which they were not disappointed
The Akinyelu’s boys did another clean sheet as usual beating the home side 0-1 in an away win.
Despite the penalty kick awarded to the home side as a result of the strong tackle made by the Gbagada player, ‘football they say is a game of luck’ the home side captain Sixtus who has been outstanding could not equalize the scoreline but rather volley the ball over the goal bar.
In the twenty-seventh minute of the first half, Akibu Ademola have a heading opener from Al-Hassan’s cross from the right side of the field of play as the ball was seen dropping inside the goal post.
Thirty-two minutes away from the first half, another clear chance came in for the home side to give an equalizing goal but the ball was seen hitting the crossbar from a long-range.
This gave the visiting side the total three-point at the end of the 90 Plus additional minutes of play thrashing valiant FC 0-1.
In an interview with Coach Akinyelu of Gbagada FC, he said;
” It’s a win that has taken us to the top of the table, but again it was a very difficult one”
” We had to defend with our lives and the boys really tried to keep a clean sheet, so it’s a good one for us” he concluded.
Looking at the log table critically Gbagada FC now tops the league table with eighteen points with 8 matches played. Anticipating another victory in their next match.
