It was a wake-up call for the Iganmu FC boys playing the three-time straight winner Gbagada FC in the ongoing creative championship league hosted at the Surulere National Stadium.
The match kick-off at exactly 13:00 pm West African Time with a weather forecast of 32 degrees Celsius.
Recall that the creative championship season has been on for some weeks and all coaches are striving hard to put their team on the top of the log table.
The football they say is a game of professionality and luck. If that is so, then luck was against the Gbagada boys as they were beaten 1 nil by the striving Iganmu FC boys who played tremendously.
Thanks to the man of the match Izuchukwu David who was able to utilize the golden opportunity among several chances helping his team side secure the 1-0 victory for his club.
In an interview with the Iganmu coach, Babatunde said;
” Firstly I thank God for the victory and once again my boys played with instructions given to them ”
” We had many chances but was able to convert just one of them.
But I give God the glory for the three-point because that’s the most important thing in every match.” He added.
Iganmu FC is five-point on the table while they top Dannaz with two points and valiant with four-point as they’re eight positions with four matches already played.
The coach concluded by saying that the current victory will serve as a boost for them in their next match which they look out for this weekend.
