Fresh from their 3-2 win over Iganmu FC in The Creative Championship League match week eleven, Valiant FC have continued their good form after picking up a 2-1 win over highly-rated Collin Edwin Sports Club, and coach of the side Achieve Yunus has attributed part of their good performance in the game to the fitness garnered in the TCC League all through January and February.
“It (the win) makes me feel good and better, it shows that we’re growing, we know what we’re doing and where we’re going because through January and February, the TCC has given a lot of match fitness to the players and hey showed it today and we believe our next game will be the same,” Achieve said speaking to Sports247.
The coach has also stated that just like every other team in the competition, his side are also looking to get to the top and gain promotion even as he and the boys have a great relationship and understanding.
“Everyone wants to win and gain promotion and that’s the target that me and my boys have set for ourselves. We’re like brothers, we’re working together and you can’t even differentiate between coach and players because we’re all working together to get the progress that we’re looking for. I’m very optimistic and looking forward to qualifying,” the coach of Valiant said.
The coach went on to praise the performance of his opponents in Collin Edwin, noting that they’re no pushovers and shouldn’t be underrated and tips them to perform better going forward.
