Match week three installment of the TCC League saw Emmydinho FC pick up their first win of the league season with a win over Broadcity that further sent their opponents to the bottom of the table.
A change of managerial position meant Ayeni was no longer the man on the touchline but the players knew what it meant to give their all to secure the first win of the season courtesy of a very late goal by Toyin Mustapha.
“I was overwhelmed and very happy to score the winning goal,” Toyin said. “After they equalized, I had the belief we were going to win the game because we’re playing well,” he told Sports247.
“This win really means a lot to us and we’re glad we got the victory. The new coach might have been part of the reason but it’s very good that we the players played to instruction,” he added.
