In a game of contrasting fortunes between Imperial and Emmydinho, both sides who dropped points in their first league game, Emmydinho FC were condemned to a 2-0 loss by two first-half goals, and the coach of the side has blamed it on dressing room issues.
Emmydinho FC played a 0-0 draw against Iganmu FC in their opening fixture and now failed to win against Imperial and Sports247 sat with Coach Ayeni to get his thoughts.
“We lost concentration as I feel we started well. The team is not in good form due to issues between me and the players but I believe we’ve sorted it out as we started the game well, got an early penalty which was missed, and then concentration lost from there,” he said.
Quizzed about expectations for the next game in about seven days, the coach couldn’t drop comments as he hinted at the exit from the club.
“Actually I believe it will be good but I’m not sure I’ll be around due to what is on the ground,” coach Ayeni said.
