The atmosphere was cool on Sunday afternoon at the Surulere National Stadium where Dannaz FC lost to Atlantis Business 2-0 in the creative championship league.
Playing from the away side in front of their fans, it was as if the match was not going to bring forth any goal as the first half plus additional minutes came out with a 0-0 scoreline.
Atlantis Business conceded the first goal in the second half of play by a clinical finish from Uche Endurance a center-back player.
In the 70th plus minutes, the Olayinka boys got their final second goal.
In an interview with the coach of the team after the final whistle was blown, Adiro Olayinka said;
” It was a good game from my boys and also a good game from the opponent side.
As you can see, the first half was goalless despite the attempt. But thank God we were able to bounce back from the second half.
My boys utilize the opportunities they had which gave us victory”
Coach Olayinka also added that
” We are not relenting in our next matches and of course, we would want to win so we will try to get the three-point. So that should be what our fans should be expecting from us, he concluded”.
Atlantis Business in their first opening game loss to Gbagada FC 1-0 in front of their home fans.
But today’s three-point victory has shown that the team is fearless ahead of their next match.
