An upset it was based on the statistics and records as Imperial FC handed abroad City their first defeat in the TCC Cup this season after a high-scoring 4-3 loss.
It was a game that took the City’s Pride by storm as Imperial raced to a 3-0 lead early in the first half before Broad City got two of their own to end d half just a goal behind. But with one goal apiece in the second half, it was a very entertaining game which the coach of Broad City explained didn’t have much effect.
“It’s not a heavy loss on me,” coach Isikwene Christian told Sports247. “We have one more game to play against Gbagada FC. We’ll learn from this, with 3 more days to correct our mistakes before the last day,” he added.
Speaking on what might have affected the team’s performance today, coach Isikwene said, “We lost concentration in the first half which led to us conceding 3 early goals, we had to change the formation a bit, and change some players which worked for us.”
With just a game to go, 2nd on the table with 6pts, the coach was certain his side are going to pull through to the next round. “I’m 150% certain we’re going to make it to the next round,” he said.
