A loss in their second group game against Dino SC condemns Dannaz to the bottom of the TCC Cup group B table and leaves them without a win in the competition so far.
Despite going ahead in the game, Dino came from a goal down to the level in the first half and then seal the win in the second which drew reactions from the players.
“The game is gone, we just need to focus more on scoring goals and working as a team,” said striker Emmanuel Precious to Sports247.
The coach of the side also expressed disappointment at the loss but admitted it’s part of football, forging ahead is the goal and the team must keep working hard.
“It’s football. Sometimes you score first, concede early or even come from behind as different games come with different moves and that’s what my boys need to learn,” coach Fatai Akande told Sports247.
“When you score first, can you keep the lead, stay compact as well? Other games will raise our level especially playing against more mature sides. We have to work hard, stay focused and play as a team before you can have a chance to win as we really want to develop these young ones,” he added.
