A late consolation goal to destroy the hopes of keeping a clean sheet by Dannaz FC was sealed by Agboola Ifeoluwa who has been in blistering form in front of goal for Valiant FC and the lad explains it’s what he works on in training daily, to score goals.
Valiant FC fell behind to two goals in the first half from Dannaz and another one was added in the second half to seal what was a certain win, a first in the cup for Dannaz but Agboola Ifeoluwa had other ideas to spoil the party with his late goal, his 5th in the last three cup games but the player couldn’t hide both his sadness at losing and satisfaction at scoring yet again.
“I felt a lot of pain from the game today because I never expected that we were going to lose it,” he told Sports247. “Well, we lost the game, we’ll go back to work on it, better days ahead. Those goals were caused by individual errors so we’ll have to work on it.”
“For me to score in every match, it’s what I work on in the training ground, to put more energy and strength in the game which will show in matchday,” he said.
Despite the win and Ifeoluwa’s goals, Valiant FC failed to advance to the semi-final of The Creative Championship Cup and would have to wait for the league proper to right their wrongs.
