As part of his contributions, Awoniyi will present sets of jerseys to all the teams participating in the league, helping to instill a sense of pride and unity in the young players. This initiative is a reflection of the striker’s dedication to nurturing young talent and supporting their football aspirations.
Additionally, in his role as a Dettol ambassador, Awoniyi has secured support from the leading hygiene brand. Dettol will provide essential hygiene products and gifts to the athletes, promoting a strong message about the importance of health and hygiene both on and off the field.
“The future of Nigerian football lies in the hands of these kids, and I am committed to giving them the resources and opportunities they need to succeed,” said Awoniyi. “Through the foundation and our partners like Dettol, we aim to make a lasting impact on their lives.”
The jersey presentation ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 28 at the Kwara Football Academy, marking an exciting day for the league. Awoniyi will also unveil the “Wyscout Camera” initiative, designed to give global exposure to the talented players in the Kwara Kiddies League by capturing and broadcasting their performances.
In a further show of support, Awoniyi’s foundation will introduce a meal program to provide nutritious meals for every player, ensuring their well-being during their participation in the league.
Awoniyi’s commitment to the Kwara Kiddies League is part of a three-year deal, signed in June, which aims to develop young footballers in the region and give them the chance to pursue professional careers at the highest level.
