Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club recorded a resounding 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-13) victory over Omnisport VC in their 9-16 classification match at the ongoing 2025 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship, holding at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The commanding win was a testament to the determination and resilience of the Nigerian side, who bounced back from previous setbacks in the tournament to deliver a confident and composed performance against their Cameroonian opponents.

The first set saw Nigeria Customs maintain steady control, edging out Omnisport 25-21 despite moments of pressure. The second set was more fiercely contested, with Omnisport pushing hard to equalize.
However, the Nigerian team held their nerve in the closing points to seal it 26-24. The third set was a one-sided affair, with Nigeria Customs dominating from the serve to the net, wrapping up the game in emphatic fashion with a 25-13 scoreline.
Coach Usman Abdullahi praised his players’ focus and team spirit after the match, noting that the win was a crucial step in building momentum and confidence as the competition heads into its final stages.
“We came into this game with the right mindset. The girls executed the game plan excellently, especially in the third set. This win is for the team and the fans,” Abdullahi said.
Nigeria Customs now look forward to their next classification match as they continue their quest for a respectable finish at Africa’s premier women’s volleyball club competition.
