Organizers have made a change in plans for the highly publicised friendly between SWAN Selected and Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC).
The game which was billed to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena has been moved to Legacy Pitch on Tuesday 5th October after approval was given for its use by the football authorities.
The venue has been changed from Mobolaji Johnson Arena to Legacy Pitch because there are some works to be done on the turf ahead of the Falconets’ game against Central African Republic (CAR) on 6th October.
General Manager of SWAN Selected, Andrew Randa told the Media, “the effect of the change has to do with the contractor having to carry out maintenance work on the Pitch for the Falconets game.”
“The CAR side are scheduled to train on the pitch ahead of the game,” he explained.
“The game will now be played at the Legacy Pitch in National Stadium. We regret the inconveniences,” the well travelled media practitioner added.
Meanwhile, SWAN Selected players have started arriving in camp for the game with ANFASSC.
Star players Tobi Adepoju, Suleiman Pooja, Olawale Quadry, Charles Diya, Victor Modo and Olatoye Olawale were all smiling as they arrived for the epic game.
Coach Yemi Olanrenwaju is expected to supervise the team’s training session on Monday.
