Surepath Schools, Lagos, is set for its inter-house competition, both in Ikorodu and Ajao Estate. While Ikorodu branch’s games are fixed for Tuesday, April 4, the event in Ajao Estate will hold on Thursday, April 6, 2023.
A statement by the school’s proprietor, Innocent Okoroafor, made available to The Guardian, said the event in Ikorodu will hold at 174 Nigerian Army Barracks Sports Complex, opposite PZ, Ikorodu. It will commence at 10.00 a.m.
“All over the world, inter-house sports are organised to ensure students are healthy and fit, as well as encourage them to take sports to reduce cases of stress that currently affect people,” Okoroafor stated.
According to him, this year’s inter-house sports competition will also involve parents.
Already, the management of Surepath Schools has commenced the distribution of sports vests at subsidised rate to parents ahead of the competition.
Okoroafor said: “The students are practicing in their various houses, and we expect a funfair inter-house sports competition, both in our Ikorodu branch and Ajao Estate, this year.”
