A youngster with Ikorodu City FC of Lagos, Sola Adelani is taking stock of the quality of refereeing in this year’s edition of Lagos Supremacy Cup, sports247 reports.
Although the starry-eyed lad confessed that he has some reservations about calls made by the referee during his team’s 2-2 draw with Broad City FC, he conceded that it was all about making the game lively.

He added in the wake of the encounter at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan area of Lagos Island that he wants to enjoy his first experience of the annual competition that has become a major reference point for the progress of youth football in Lagos State.
“I don’t have much to say for now. This is the first time I am playing in this competition.
“I did not really enjoy the referee of our match; but I will not say he was biased.
“Maybe he just wanted the flow of the game to be open,” Adelani reasoned in a brief chat with sports247 after the game.
