The Nigeria Football Supporters Club have sent its heartfelt condolences to the Police machine team over the death of two of its female players, Aniebiet Ekong and Glory Saturday, who were killed by a hit an run driver Tuesday evening, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, while returning from training.
In the message by the national chairman of Nigeria football supporters club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, it described the death as unfortunate and shocking.
” This is a sad, shocking and unfortunate death. To lose two young and talented female footballers in such a manner is saddening and truly bad. That their lives was rudely terminated by the hit and run driver is also regrettable,” the amiable football enthusiast lamented.
- ” On behalf of myself, the executives and members of NFSC, home and diaspora, we pray that God grant families and friends of the deceased, as well as the Police machine team and the football community, the strength and fortitude to bear these losses,” he prayed solemnly.
