However, the midfielder is now in contention to return to action in the crucial quarterfinal clash against Angola. Speaking to the press, Yusuf addressed questions about the upcoming game and the challenges he faced during his injury layoff.
When asked about the perception that the match against Angola might be a walkover for the Super Eagles, Yusuf emphasized the team’s focus on taking one game at a time. He acknowledged that past performances have been commendable but emphasized the importance of approaching each match with the same dedication, stating, “We’re going to take it like every game
We’re going to take one game at a time and I think we’re going to give our best and see how we can come out victorious.”
Reflecting on his injury, Yusuf acknowledged the nature of football and the unpredictability of injuries. Despite the setback, he expressed confidence in his recovery, stating, “Yeah, I think it’s football, football. Of course, you count injuries, and of course, now I recovered really well, and I’ll be part of the next game.”
When questioned about his ability to match the performance levels of the players he might replace in the lineup, Alhassan Yusuf responded positively, expressing his determination to pick up where he left off. He confidently asserted, “Of course. Going to just keep going from where I stop one.”
