FC Robo defender, Habeebat Akinwande who was recently invited to the Super Falcons has said that she is honored to be with the national team.
Akinwande was part of the 23 woman list released by the coach of the Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum to execute a cup tournament in Turkey.
The former Osun Babes loanee, while speaking with the Super Falcons media said she feels really great to be invited.
“I feel honored for being invited to the Super Falcons for the first time, it is a great privilege for me and I’m grateful to God for the invite.”
On the tournament coming up in Turkey, the defender said the Falcons will put in good work to show the world their quality.
“Yh. When we get to Turkey, we need to prove ourselves, me especially so that my invitation can be worthy, I will give in my best to just my call up.”
Akinwande is one of the five Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL players invited into the squad by the American technical adviser of the Super Falcons.
