As soccer-loving Nigerians and concerned stakeholders continue to reel in the wake of Nigeria’s shocking 4-4 draw AFCON qualification match against Sierra Leone, the President of Lagos based semi-professional football team, Danjuma Babes has predicted a better outing for the Super Eagles in the return leg fixture Freetown on Tuesday.
Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Alhaji Muhammed Auwal Danjuma said football is unpredictable. He admonishes Nigerian football fans to take the game against Sierra Leone as a blip in form.
” Nigerians should forgive the Super Eagles for that unfortunate game. Football is a very unpredictable game and I believe that game against Sierra Leone should be seen as a momentary blip.
” I tell you, Nigeria is blessed with top quality players. We are going to bounce back stronger and better in the second leg,” the grassroots football promoter enthused confidently.
