Ex-international defender, Tajudeen Disu has added his voice to pre-match analysis ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier away to Rwanda but, while many fans are talking about victory for the visitors, he stressed that the Super Eagles will not have an easy game in Kigali, Sports247 reports.

Tajudeen Disu acknowledged that it is a must-win match for the three-time African champions, but quickly pointed out that gone are the days when other countries across the continent are scared of the Super Eagles, hence his verdict that victory will not come eady in Kigali.
The former defence stalwart with Abiola Babes FC of Abeokuta warned: “It’s not going to be easy. I must be honest and say the truth. There is no game that is easy for the Super Eagles to play nowadays.
We’ve watched them a couple of times of recent and, if you look at things very well, you will notice that other teams are no longer afraid of playing against Nigeria anymore.
“It was in those days, when my set was playing, or those after us and those before us, in the days of (Segun) Odegbami and others, you could say Nigeria was feared. That has changed.”
Disu, who comes from a long line of football-playing siblings and moved to Alabama in the United States of America after excelling with Nigeria’s youth national team, Flying Eagles, added that all players who will feature in Friday’s clash must be ready to work harder in order to return home with three points in the kitty.
“They must all work really hard, because any team can now come out to say they want to beat Nigeria, and they’ve even been successful sometimes. A country that is not even ranked will come and draw with our national team or even beat us.
“It’s because they are now comfortable playing against Nigeria. It wasn’t like that before, when we could easily say Nigeria would win and other countries were afraid to face us. So, I think our players have to do more (in order to defeat Rwanda awsy on Friday),” Disu declared.
