The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that the Squirrels of Benin Republic will not get to face the Super Eagles as preparations for the AFCON 2019 intensifies.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria already flagged off their 2019 AFCON preparations with a 1-0 win over Egypt in a test game and there are speculations that Benin Republic would come in as replacement for Ghana’s Black Stars.
In a chat with Sports247, a top member of the NFF said there’s no plan to play Benin in a friendly encounter before tha Nations Cup in Egypt.
However, there are chances of the Super Eagles playing the Atlas Lions of Morocco in a friendly in Asaba ahead of the CAF Mundial since Ghana has pulled out.
