As the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) prepare for their National Election scheduled for April 1st, 2023 in Abuja, it is now crystal clear that Dr (Barr) Johnson Amawoei Dagana will succeed Prince Vincent Okumagba as president.
Prince Vincent Okumagba, the current National President has served the most vibrant national team supporters club for four years.
However, there seems to be a consensus that Okumagba will be succeeded by Johnson Dagana as he will contest unopposed.
Dagana, an astute sports administrator who hails from Odi Town in the kolokuma/ Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, is the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of Super Eagles Supporters Club and Chairman of Chairmen for the SESC.
Dagana, who is a legal luminary and holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (ph.D) in Political History Diplomatic Studies, says he will provide practical and effective templates and tools to help supporters’ clubs implement best practices.
“Supporters remain loyal to the colors they proudly wear because fans are the reason football exists at all, their voice has to be heard and fans have to help shape football’s future,” Dagana stated.
Positions to be filled include National President, Deputy National President, National Vice President, National Vice President, National Vice President, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Welfare Officer, Social Secretary, Chief Whip, and Internal Auditor.
SESC is one of the most respected supporters club across the world. At AFCON Cameroun 2021, one of the SESC side attraction crew “Iyabo Afolabi” was awarded the FAN of the match and in the just concluded AFCON Under 20, Egypt 2023, Alhaji Musiliu Alao Jimoh” received the Fan Award from Orange.
He also received an award from the Nigerian Ambassador in Egypt as the best supporter
