The Super Eagles Supporters Club have expressed rude shock over the demise of Chairman Enugu State Football Association Hon. Chidi Offor Okenwa.
According to reports, late Okenwa who is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation and Chairman of the Nigeria National League died after a brief illness.
President of the Club Prince Vincent Okumagba on behalf of the Club described the death of Okenwa as a big loss to Nigerian football.
” I find it hard to believe a great soldier is gone, Okenwa has great influence on football in Nigeria, and his death is a great loss to NFF, Enugu State Football Association, friends and family.
He served as a distinguished administrator, an outstanding football advocate, a warm and caring individual.
To the family, this is a very difficult time and we share with you the loss. Words will not express the depth of this loss and we pray for God to forgive his sins and for the repose of his soul”.
