Alhaji Jimoh Musiliu, a key stakeholder of the Super Eagles Supporter Clubs and the President of Emiloju Football Club, has landed in Uyo to bolster the team ahead of their crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Benin Republic.
The match, scheduled for September 7, 2024, marks a critical step for Nigeria in their campaign to secure a place in the upcoming tournament.
Alhaji Jimoh Musiliu, who has long been an advocate for Nigerian football, expressed his optimism about the Super Eagles’ chances and urged Nigerians to unite in support of the team.
“We are here to give our full support to the Super Eagles,” he stated passionately. “This is a new beginning for us, and we are starting with victory. It’s time to leave all past disappointments behind and push our team towards success.”
During his visit, Musiliu attended the team’s training session at the Nest of Champions stadium, where he interacted with the players, encouraging them to stay focused and deliver a strong performance on match day.
As the Super Eagles prepare for the September 7 clash under the guidance of caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen, Alhaji Musiliu’s presence and words of encouragement are expected to inspire both the team and their supporters.
His call for unity reflects the deep connection between the team and their supporters, as they aim to reclaim their position at the top of African football.
