The decision to select Abu Dhabi as the pre-AFCON camp location was based on meticulous research conducted by experts, considering various factors, including weather conditions.*
Olajire elaborated on the rationale behind choosing Abu Dhabi, stating, “Those who are in charge of that did their job and discovered that the weather is similar.
The weather in Abu Dhabi in January is similar to that of Cote d’Ívoire, and the choice was made that the experts did their job and recommended and the NFF accepted.”
This strategic move is indicative of the Super Eagles’ commitment to thorough preparation, ensuring that the team adapts seamlessly to the climatic conditions they will encounter during the AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ívoire.
