Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has revealed the 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming
Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
The Portuguese manager has included several familiar faces, including national team captain Ahmed Musa from Sivasspor and Victor Osimhen, the record-breaking striker from Napoli.

Among the invited players are Leicester duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, who have been named in the midfield and attack positions, respectively. However, there is no place for Terem Moffi, the in-form striker from Nice, despite his impressive goal-scoring record of 19 goals across two French clubs this season.
The notable highlight of the squad announcement is the inclusion of four players from the
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). These players are goalkeeper Victor Sochima
from Rivers United, goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo from Enyimba FC, defender Chidiebube
Duru from Rivers United, and midfielder Divine Nwachukwu from Bendel Insurance.
