Super Eagles Must Be Careful In Saturday’s Match Against Sudan – Moses Simon

FC Nantes of France midfielder, Moses Simon has stated that he and his colleagues in the Super Eagles must be careful against Sudan in their next match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

He admitted that Tuesday’s victory over Egypt was heartwarming, but acknowledged further that the Nigerian squad cannot afford to be complacent in their next game this Saturday.

The former Kaduna United, SK Trencin of Slovakia, KAA Gent of Belgium, and Levante of Spain dazzler added that, rather than rest on their oars, the Eagles must come out blazing against the Sudanese.

He admitted that there is a strong tendency for everyone to get carried away with Tuesday’s victory over Egypt and begin to underrate the less fancied Sudanese, but quickly interjected that it would be dangerous doing so.

While also expressing delight that he was named by many fans and analysts as ‘unofficial’ man of the match against Egypt, Moses Simon stressed that only teamwork and joint effort will see them eke out a victory on Saturday.

He concluded with a verdict that they have to be on their toes for 90 minutes, give 100% effort and replicate the performance they had against Egypt in order to spank Sudan as well.

Moses Simon added: “The game against Sudan is something we need to be careful with because, now in Africa, there is no small team.

“So, we need to face them the way we played against Egypt. We have to do our best and give 100% effort to get the three points.”
