Newly-appointed Super Eagles technical adviser, Jose Peseiro has come out to say he is proud to be the new Super Eagles coach.
The Portuguese was announced as the new technical adviser last week by the Nigeria Football Federation in a statement delivered by its media department.
Peseiro who has coached in Portugal and a South American country took to his Twitter handle to tweet his excitement.
“Pride! It is with great pride and joy that I am the coach of one of the greatest football nations in the world.
Commanding the Super Eagles starts with knowing how to respect the history, value it, and be inspired by its roots.”
Peseiro’s first assignment as Super Eagles technical adviser will be the two friendlies in the US against Mexico and Ecuador before he leads the team to the start of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
