Expressing his excitement at the unexpected visit, Nwabali shared his sentiments on the unique experience.
He remarked, “To be really honest, when I saw him in my training ground, I was so happy, especially coming from my own country, like the head coach of my country, coming to visit my team and watch my training.”
Nwabali acknowledged the privilege of representing his country and the significance of the coach’s presence during training.
Despite the joy of the encounter, Nwabali maintained a grounded perspective, noting that while it was an opportunity for recognition, he did not assume any positive intentions regarding his potential inclusion in the national team.

He emphasized, “I just felt like he came to visit or maybe to watch my training.”
Reflecting on the coach-player dynamic, Nwabali highlighted the mutual unfamiliarity, saying, “It was his first time seeing me because he had never seen me before.
I have never even seen him before either. So it was my first time seeing him and it was his first time seeing me also.”
The goalkeeper acknowledged the honor of being observed by the national team coach but remained focused on the task at hand.
Anticipating the release of the squad list, Nwabali expressed a pragmatic approach, stating, “I will wait till when the list will come out, if I’m part of the team, when the list will come out for me to give my best and show my country what I can do.”
The goalkeeper’s poised response reflects a dedication to proving his abilities on the pitch when the opportunity arises
