The Nigeria national team duo of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey named in the 2021/2022 Scottish Premiership Team of The Season after an impressive outing with Rangers F.C in the just concluded season.
Midfielder Aribo has been versatile for the The Light Blues in the midfield since he arrived at the Ibrox Stadium from English League One club, Charton Athletic in 2019. He has sealed his name as a playmaker in the Rangers’ squad, with his performance attracting interests from the Premier League clubs including with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace
Defender Bassey has been outstanding in new position after manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst moved him to centre-back after the Dutchman took over from Steven Gerrard in 2021.
The 22-year-old defender also claimed the club’s Young Player of the Season prize.
Both players were vital members of the Rangers team that finished second in the just ended Scottish Premiership season and also made it to the final of the UEFA Europa League but missed out on title to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties.
