On the African continent, the Super Eagles now trail only Morocco (1st in Africa), Senegal (2nd), and Egypt (3rd). This is a jump from their previous 6th place, signifying their upward momentum in African football.

Globally, the top five rankings are dominated by Argentina, France, Spain, England, and Brazil, maintaining their positions as the world’s strongest football nations.

The next update of the FIFA World Rankings is scheduled for November 28, 2024, and with upcoming AFCON qualifiers, further improvements could be in store for Nigeria if they continue their winning streak.
