Nothing to separate Sunshine Stars and Gombe United in a highly entertaining friendly game at the training pitch of the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu on Wednesday.
It was a game of two halves with the first forty-five minutes largely controlled by the Savannah Scorpions while the second period was dominanted by Edith Agoye boys.
Despite the lack of goal, it was a frenetic contest that offer a dose of what to expect in a competitive topflight match for both sides.

_”We played three NPFL sides already and they are all good games with league tempo including today’s own against Gombe and we are happy to match up to them. The purpose of coming here is highly realised._
_”Against Shooting; we are here to also win the tournament, so we will give our best and make sure we leave the pitch victorious tomorrow. No emotion facing them as my former team, just focusing on getting the job done for my team._
_”At the end of the day, we want to use the tournament (Gold Cup) to send a message to the government and people of Ondo State that we are working to make them proud of the team as pride of Ondo State.”_
