Coach Peter Ijeh an ex-international and a one time highest goal scorer in the Nigerian league with Julius Berger in the year 2000 believes that the hierarchy of the Nigerian Football Federation should dismiss and not use the scorecard of Coach Sunday Oliseh with the Super Eagles to judge other quality Nigerian coaches in the diaspora.
” I know Oliseh was unveiled with a lot of expectations, he was qualified and was even termed the Guardiola of Africa before things grumbled within the super Eagles.
He has learned his lessons as is expected with every human being and his lowly tenure with the team must not be used as a yardstick to assess other coaches abroad.
We have quality and exposed coaches that understand players’ management and relations”.
Peter Ijeh who scored One hundred and nineteen goals (119), in over two hundred and fifty-four (254) matches in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway playing for Malmö, Viking FK, IFK Goteborg, Gals, etc.
He holds the scoring record in Malmö, 18 years and still counting scoring 38 goals in 60 premier league games.
Ijeh is a certified UEFA coach grade A and attended Goteborg University Sweden.
He rounded up the exclusive chat with tobexSports by saying: ” If I can mentor Zlatan Ibrahimovic , I can still do it for Nigeria.
