Sunday Megwo Confident as Abia Warriors Aim for Victory Against Plateau United

Abia Warriors forward, Sunday Megwo, has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness ahead of their Matchday 28 clash against Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.

The Umuahia-born striker, who has been enjoying an impressive season with eight goals and three assists, admitted the squad was disappointed with their recent 1-1 home draw against Nasarawa United. However, he emphasized their determination to bounce back with a strong performance.

“We are in Jos to fight for all three points,” Megwo stated.

“We know it won’t be an easy game, especially after failing to secure a win at home against Nasarawa United. That makes this match even more crucial. We are fully prepared to give our best because we understand what’s at stake this season.”

Megwo also acknowledged that the team is not satisfied with their current league position and remains focused on securing a continental ticket.

“When you look at the table, you’ll see that we are not yet in a comfortable position for a team aiming for a continental spot,” he said.

“We have to keep pushing, improving, and working hard as a team. So far, it has been a good campaign, and we are determined to finish in a strong position by the end of the season.”

The forward will be looking to deliver another standout performance under coach Imama Amapakabo when Abia Warriors take on Plateau United on Sunday.
