The honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare has declared that the lack of infrastructures in the country is hindering sports development in the country.
The minister since his resumption has been working on the renovation of national stadia across the country, which saw the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja facelifted.
Speaking on Channels Television on Monday, the minister insisted that infrastructure is a big problem to sports development.
“One of the elephants in the room, in terms of sports development in Nigeria, is the lack of infrastructure.”
He added that there was light at the end of the tunnel while work is ongoing in renovating the existing structures.
“Under President Muhammadu Buhari, we have been able to bring hope in terms of infrastructure development.”
